Jazzaar Organisation
Jazzaar Association is a non-profit organisation that was formed in 1997 in response to the Bands Across The SeasTM (BATS) programmes directed by Fritz Renold since 1992 (Swiss Youth Jazz Orchestra & Aargauer Jugend Jazz Orchestra) with the intention of positioning the institution in Aarau, the capital of Canton Aargau of Switzerland. The initiators of Jazzaar Association were Heinz Zweifel and Herbert Ammann, residents of Aarau, parents and jazz enthusiasts.
The Jazzaar Team is a parallel group formed in 2010 to continue the implementation of the 'Learning on the Bandstand' programme for the annual jazz camp cum festival in April - "jazzaar concerts" along with a variety of other 'Learning on the Bandstand' based performances and workshops throughout the year!
