"jazzaar concerts" is a jazz festival with a heart for cultural exchange and music education.

Every April the audience is entertained with world class musical works; classics and premiers in the Afro-American, European and folk traditions as well as fusions into other world genres.

But most uniquely, "jazzaar concerts" is known for its learning on the bandstand productions by professionals of international and national acclaim with selected Swiss youth that culminate into memorable and grand performances that showcase the basic ingredients for cultural sustenance - tradition, interaction, innovation and progress!

A documentation published (2007) about Jazzaar and its then 15 years of youth & cultural endeavour is now available for purchase online!

Furthermore, 'Cube' - the CD released in April 2008 with an all-star jazz performing line-up is an exemplary production at jazzaar.

'Learning on the Bandstand'

"jazzaar' is a vital platform for learning on the bandstand.

This educational platform that incorporates new productions has equipped many a young musician since 1992 with high aspirations in pursuing excellence with the task at hand.  Its alumni continue to contribute professionalism in any field they venture into.  Naturally many have also gone to lead a life of music successfully both within the country and internationally.

'Learning on the Bandstand' emphasizes on Role Modeling, that which requires exemplary mentors for effective motication of learners into emulating them in the art o music making and problem solving.
